Isabel | Pink Parachute | Ever After Storybook Session

Believe it or not, several girls turned down the opportunity to do this shoot before Ever After model and Steele HS senior Isabel Napolitano said "yes!"   I admit, it sounded a little weird when I tried to explain it, but Isabel and her mom trusted me and I'm so incredibly grateful for that.  I absolutely love how it turned out!

As usual, we had several obstacles to overcome on the day of the shoot.  The biggest problem, although common since we do live in South Texas, was the blazing HEAT.  We were at the Dam at Canyon lake and I thought there would be a nice breeze up there, but this particular day was humid and still.  Another problem was that our assistant was unable to make the shoot and so we didn't have enough people to throw the parachute up to make it puffy as I had envisioned.  We got some help from a sweet family for a few of the shots, but I couldn't ask them to continue throwing it for the next hour so we needed another plan.

Noemi, Isabel's mom, came up with the idea of putting Isabel in a tree.  Genius!  We quickly found one that would work, raised the light-stand as high as it would go, and we were back in business.  I was scared to death that the weight of the parachute would pull her to the ground, but she stayed safe up there and we ended up with some epic images.  Check them out:
