You're gonna miss this...

Remember when your kids were little and you had portraits taken for every single stage of life?  I do.  We did portraits for all the baby stages, the toddler years, a session to capture their smile before they lost all their baby teeth, another one to get the toothless grin, and on and on... But for reasons that I can't put my finger on, these last few years have gone undocumented.  It's sad and I kinda feel like a failure, but I know I'm not alone.  Except for cell phone snaps and the endless selfies, you don't see many individual portraits of kids between the ages of 9 and 18.

It doesn't have to be that way; imagine having stunning photographs taken of your child just as they embark on their high school years.  They areon the cusp of independence but not quite there yet, establishing who they are, learning as much about themselves as they are about the world around them.  I promise you, you will want to remember this age one day very soon.

Last summer I began doing freshman portraits and the response was fabulous, so this summer I'm bringing it back!  Most of the sessions are done in the morning to avoid the South Texas heat but I can work with any schedule.  Don't want a summer shoot?  We can do it at any time of the year, just give me a call to set it up.

Here are a few shoots from this summer and last:
